Human Rights)

This documentary follows the expropriation of the residents of a former aristocratic building in a rapidly growing Beijing neighborhood. Though fully within their rights to stay, they are abandoned by the courts and the authorities and are exposed to the abuses of the real estate company, in the end witnessing the bulldozing of their homes.

A camera close to the people, which conveys with emotion their determination in the face of brutal capitalism in a country where the law does not apply to ordinary citizens.
